About Me
Incoming UCL student with a passion for Eastern European affairs and corporate law.
I am an incoming student at University College London (UCL) where I will be studying Politics, Sociology and East European Studies starting in September 2025. My academic journey will be driven by a deep fascination with the political and structural factors shaping our society, particularly in Eastern Europe, combined with a long-term aspiration for a career in corporate law.
Academic Plans
At UCL, I will be pursuing a degree that will offer comprehensive insight into the political dynamics, social structures and regional complexities of Eastern Europe. This interdisciplinary approach will allow me to examine the intersection of politics, sociology and economics in a region that continues to evolve and influence global affairs.
Professional Development
Before beginning my studies, I took a gap year that proved transformative. Working across diverse industries including tourism, property and retail, I developed crucial skills in adaptation, clear communication and operating under pressure. These experiences shaped not only my work ethic but also my understanding of professional environments and commercial realities.
Areas of Interest
My research and writing will focus on several interconnected areas:
- •Eastern European political and economic development
- •Corporate law and commercial legal frameworks
- •Market dynamics and investment analysis
- •Social and political structures in transitional societies
- •Geopolitical implications of regional developments
- •The intersection of law, politics and economics
Commercial Awareness
Through personal investing and market analysis, I have developed a keen interest in commercial thinking and financial markets. This practical experience will complement my academic studies and support my goal of building a commercially aware, socially grounded foundation for my future legal career.
Future Aspirations
My long-term goal is to pursue a career in corporate law, where I can apply my understanding of political and economic structures to complex commercial challenges. I am particularly interested in how legal frameworks adapt to changing political and economic landscapes, especially in emerging markets and transitional economies.
This blog will serve as a platform to share my insights on topics that intersect with my academic and professional interests, from Eastern European developments to broader questions of law, politics and economics as I progress through my studies.
